Safeguarding

At Grow Independent Special School , child protection is given the highest priority.  Our school fully recognises safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play.

In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, our school promotes a child-centred approach.  This means that we consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the students in our care.

If children and families are to receive the right help at the right time, everyone who comes into contact with them has a role to play in identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action.

The purpose of our safeguarding policy is to ensure every student at our school is safe and protected from harm.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Charlotte O’Brien who can be contacted at sendco@growschool.co.uk or via phone.

Charlotte O’Brien will also be the person responsible for children who are looked after (CLA).
